Raban Wedding Cakes

I truly felt privileged to make these cakes for the Raban's double reception. I also felt stressed, very stressed! Two very different wedding cakes in one week! It weighed on me for months, but I'm so glad they trusted me with these! I had so much fun making them, and loved them both! So elegant and so fun! It was a great experience! Thank you Julie and Trett, Randall and Jessica, (and Sharon!!)!

Simplicity

I loved making this tiny wedding cake! It was to be for the bride and groom to cut into, since the big fancy cake was artificial. They wanted a simple white cake with a black band on the bottom--but I couldn't resist adding a splash of color with the flower, and fortunately they let me put it on! Thank you Herrings!

Princess Peach Birthday Cake

So Eliza wanted a Princess Peach birthday cake this year. Easy, right? No! I had a heck of a time with this gumpaste Peach! But she was happy, and that's what really matters (right?). The crown was fun and held up, and I used store-bought frosting (which is a bit rough) so my allergic child could eat it too.

Bobpy's Birthday Cake

Okay, so the top of this (Jem from Jem and the Hollograms--my sister and my favorite 80's cartoon) cracks me up! It was supposed to look cool! Anyway, I won't be upset if if ends up on Cake Wrecks (in fact, I may submit it myself!). I thought the rest of it was fun...especially doing the splatter paint icing. Love you sis!

Wedding Cake #3

This was for Jimmy Shreeve's wedding. Thanks Annette for asking me!

Artistic Cake

Again, my sweet niece Abbie gave me nothing to go on! ;) I think she's a good artist and she's got a fantastic voice...and I knew her favorite color was green. So this is what she got!

SJHS Varsity Girls Soccer Cake

Okay, so they didn't take state...but they're still a fantastic group of girls with super coaches (and parents!)! We love you! (I think the tomahawk in the paw-print is my favorite part!) Thank you Mitty for "commissioning" this!

Nurse's Wedding Cake

Hannah Isaacson made this with me for her sister's wedding reception. We had a great time...Hannah's going to be a great cake artist!

Totally 80's Cake

Thanks Michelle for letting me revisit the fabulous 80's!

Pricing

Okay, it's way past time for me to post some prices for my cakes. I tend to undercharge (in a big way), and I need to stop. Making ~$3-$5 an hour is a killer! I love doing cakes, and it's very hard for me to charge what they're worth, but the cakes are very time consuming and expensive at times. So, I'm going to go through and post what the cakes would go for--which is still below market value! Thanks!

Rock On!

I LOVED making this cake!! Makenzi asked me to make it to answer Mike for prom. I was totally intimidated and afraid, but it ended up being one of my favorite cakes ever! So thank you Makenzi!

Shotgun Cake

This shotgun cake was for my nephew Ayden, an aspiring hunter. The best part of this cake was getting advise and assistance from Gerald and Uncle Bruce!

$65

Horses-horses-horses-horses!

More horses! They are fun to make! The horse on the big cake was done with gum paste, which doesn't get as nice and smooth as fondant (I learned this the hard way). The small one was done in a hurry, but came together nicely!

3 layer $50

mini $25

IPod Cake

This was my rather last minute attempt at an ipod cake for my nephew Clayton. I'd love to try it again sometime (with more time!). :)

Hay Bale Wedding Cake

I was so pleased Maurdith asked me to do her wedding cake! She was thinking a horseshoe, but when I saw a hay bale, I couldn't help myself! The horses seemed like the perfect topper!

$100

Purse Cake

These were for a relief society birthday party themed "Up Close and Purse-onal." This cake and the fondant gave me such fits! Lots of prayer went into the purse! :)

Purse $50
sheet $20

Baby Shower Cake

Banana Cake

Ivan wanted a Donkey Kong cake for his birthday, but at the last minute he decided he would like bananas (THANK YOU IVAN!), one for DK and one for Diddy Kong. My own kids tend to get me when I'm caked out, so this wasn't my best work, but he was happy...and grateful. I love that!

$40

Blue and Gold Banquet

This was for a cub scout blue and gold banquet that included an arrow of light ceremony. I called in reinforcements (Holly and Jaynie) to build the campfire! This was a monster of a cake!

Horsey Cupcakes

These were for my #1 client (thanks again, Jaime!!) Fat fondant horseys on buttercream frosted chocolate cupcakes. Yum! And so so fun! My best assistant (Gerald) was put to work making legs and noses, and the two horsey mane-dos pictured were my kids' creations. :)

$6 per cupcake
