Hay Bale Wedding Cake

I was so pleased Maurdith asked me to do her wedding cake! She was thinking a horseshoe, but when I saw a hay bale, I couldn't help myself! The horses seemed like the perfect topper!

Purse Cake

These were for a relief society birthday party themed "Up Close and Purse-onal." This cake and the fondant gave me such fits! Lots of prayer went into the purse! :)

Banana Cake

Ivan wanted a Donkey Kong cake for his birthday, but at the last minute he decided he would like bananas (THANK YOU IVAN!), one for DK and one for Diddy Kong. My own kids tend to get me when I'm caked out, so this wasn't my best work, but he was happy...and grateful. I love that!

Blue and Gold Banquet

This was for a cub scout blue and gold banquet that included an arrow of light ceremony. I called in reinforcements (Holly and Jaynie) to build the campfire! This was a monster of a cake!

Horsey Cupcakes

These were for my #1 client (thanks again, Jaime!!) Fat fondant horseys on buttercream frosted chocolate cupcakes. Yum! And so so fun! My best assistant (Gerald) was put to work making legs and noses, and the two horsey mane-dos pictured were my kids' creations. :)

Thank goodness this was only one tier, I was so nervous! Thank you Tana, for trusting me with this! And Congratulations Megan and Troy!

Monster Book of Monsters Cake

My son's very much into Harry Potter (which I love) so I figured he'd appreciate a "Monster Book of Monsters" cake. I told him he'd better eat it before it ate him! I tend to make my own children's cakes pretty simple, so I didn't pipe a name or anything on it, but he enjoyed it all the same! Oh, and Jaynie made the teeth :)

$45

Tank cake for an army birthday party for my most faithful client! :) (I have since learned to make nicer seams in my fondant.) Gerald made the tracks in the frosting. Actually, he did most of the painting too...and the cannon...and some fondant work...he's quite the assistant...and my hero!

Castle Cake

I struggled with this and my husband doctored it up for me. With more than a couple of hours, we could have made it fantastic! :)

Super Mario Brothers featuring Luigi

In other words, my opus magnum...well, to date, anyway. Okay, that's a stretch! But I put lots of time and effort into this cake, and had such a blast doing it! The cake was frosted with buttercream and decorated with fondant and gumpaste. It's all edible, with the exception of the dowels and toothpicks holding Luigi up. I have to add, I loved that this boy wanted Luigi--his mom said that's who he always ends up with after his brother got first player. :) Don't you love the rabbit ears behind Luigi? Thanks bud!
